What is the Follow-Up Process at Your Practice?
We have seen many practices with 50% or more in unscheduled treatments. It is important to make sure you monitor the amount of treatment that was presented and the amount that was actually accepted. The failure to do so can result in low overall production and growth at your practice. Our practice consultants hear common complaints from offices that mention they have an increased number of new patients and have a high percentage of treatment presentation, but low overall production. This is because there is no recall process and no standardization of treatment presentation.
Following Up with Patients
To increase the likelihood of patients scheduling, your window of follow up is one-to-two weeks, this is the period of time your recommendations are still fresh in their minds. Having a position in the office dedicated to following up with these patients in a consistent and dedicated manner will reduce the number of patients in your unscheduled treatment list.
